One of Abbie’s favorite things in the whole wide world is eating.
When dinner time is getting close, she’ll start to get restless and will check her bowl repeatedly to see if anything has magically appeared thereI love cooking for her because she is the world’s greatest client. It doesn’t matter if the asparagus is a little rubbery, or the broth a bit too watery, Abbie always gobbles it up with relish!
Here’s a favorite from Abbie’s personal recipe files that your bulldogs might enjoy as well
Chicken Soup for the Puppy Soul
4 cups chicken broth
1 cup skim milk
4 peppercorns
1 fresh or dried bay leaf
2 pounds chicken, breasts or thighs, cut into 1 inch chunks
2 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch chunks
1 pound baby carrots
Combine the first four ingredients in large pot, cover, and heat until it approaches a boil. Quickly lower the heat, add the chicken and vegetables, and simmer for about 20 minutes. Spoon out the peppercorns and bay leaf, and discard them. Let the soup cool before serving to your bulldog so he doesn’t burn his mouth.
