It’s time for a new puppy friendly recipe!
I keep all of Abbie’s favorite dog treat recipes together in a big folder, and when I went to pull it out today this recipe fell out of it. I couldn’t remember exactly the last time that I’d made a 100% veggie dish for Abbie, but I know it’s been at least a month or two, so she’s getting the Carroty Canine Salad tonight!
This is a really fast and simple dish, so if you want something new and fun for your dog without having to slave in the kitchen, then this is a perfect dish to try out.
As always, it’s important to make sure that you don’t feed your dog anything that’s hot enough to burn their tongue. This recipe requires softened peanut butter, and we all know how much dogs adore the taste and smell of peanut butter, so when you’re preparing this make sure that your pup can’t get to the heated butter before it’s had a chance to cool down a little!
Carroty Canine Salad
¼ cup peanut butter
3 tablespoons dark soy sauce
½ cup orange juice
2 ½ cups shredded carrots
¼ cup chopped peanuts
In microwaveable bowl heat peanut butter for about 10 seconds on high to soften it.
Whisk in soy sauce and orange juice. Stir in carrots and peanuts. Serve.
YUMMY!
